France will auction the "Qianlong Military Parade" valuation of 5 million Euro

In November last year, the unnamed British Bainbridege auction house sold a Qianlong pottery bottle to a Chinese collector at a record price of 51.6 million pounds. This incident has caused an uproar in the country and has made people from all over the world experience the power of Chinese collectors. In 2011, will European and American auction houses continue to crack down on irons and launch more Chinese artworks? The answer is yes.

On May 12th, Bonhams auction house in London will be auctioning a set of Qing dynasty Spring Palace sculpted inlaid purple sandalwood box boards, with an estimated value of 80-1.2 million pounds.

During the Qianlong period, the purple sandalwood box board was exquisitely carved and uniquely shaped. It was not seen in the market. The box board was made of eight independent rosewood boards. Each board was about 12 inches high and was inlaid with ** carvings. The erotic pictures of the harem, all the boards are connected in a series like a book, can be turned to page by page to appreciate.

"I have never sold such exquisite things," said Asaph Hyman, a high-level specialist at Baolong Auction House. “In the 18th century, rosewood was very expensive and was generally used for court production. This set of purple sandalwood panels is most likely to be used by the emperor. The Beijing National Palace Museum has a similar set of collections, but only 12 panels.”

In addition, the Labarbe auction in Toulouse, France, will be auctioned on May 26th for a scroll of the Qianlong Military Parade of 24 meters, estimated at 5-6 million Euros.

The "Qianlong Military Parade" was drawn in 1739. The seal of the ten court painters is on the scroll. It is reported that the painting was plundered from the Forbidden City to Europe during the invasion of China by the Eight-Power Allied Forces in 1900 and is now being collected by a family in Paris.

The owner of the Labarbe auction house, Mark, said that he hopes that the "Qianlong Military Parade Map" can create a new record for Chinese art auctions in France.
