Harmful substances.

The OEKO-TEX® test project is updated as follows:

According to the current version of the REACH Candidate List and the current consensus, wet spinning fibers and coatings will be tested for N-methylpyrrolidone and dimethylacetamide projects. Both chemicals are listed under the new item "Solvent Residues" and the limit value does not exceed 0.1% by weight.

In addition, four newly incorporated plasticizers were tested for the relevant samples: di-C6-8 branched alkyl phthalates, di-C7-11 branched alkyl phthalates, dihexyl phthalate Dimethoxyethyl phthalate. These will be merged into existing phthalate projects. The total limit value requirement will remain unchanged at 0.1% by weight.

Similar to the banned APEO requirements in the OEKO-TEX® Standard 1000 field-friendly production field certification framework, NP, NPEOs (1-9), OP, OPEOs (1-2) will also be included in the certification requirements of OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 .

The following limit values apply to all four product levels:

NP: 100 ppm

OP: 100 ppm

NPEO(1-9)s: 1000 ppm

OPEO(1-2)s: 1000 ppm

Testing begins with the release of the new standard. In order to give enterprises sufficient time to adjust the standardized production, allowing the production enterprises to have a period of transitional adjustment, the exact effective date is April 1, 2013. This item does not apply to OEKO-TEX® Standard 1000 certified companies because they have met the required standards.

For leather products with product grade IV, the extractable chromium limit value is 10 mg/kg. Different from the usual chromium limit value requirements for textiles based on the best technology currently available in the market. The use of such leather products as required does not cause toxicity to the human body.

In addition to the new test parameters, the proportion of quality monitoring of OEKO-TEX® certified products worldwide will be expanded to 20% of the annual certified products, and the current minimum monitoring rate is 15%. In recent years, an average of 18% of certified products have been purchased from stores for testing and monitoring, and all costs are borne by the OEKO-TEX® International Environmental Textile Association. The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is now certified for special products such as tents, strollers, office chairs or backpacks.
