We're thrilled to announce that we've just added a fresh collection of Grainline Studio patterns to our shop! These patterns are thoughtfully crafted by Jen Beeman, whose work we've admired since welcoming her to our blog back in 2013. Grainline Studio patterns have always been fan favorites, and we’re excited to now offer six of Jen's latest creations. Let's take a closer look at what makes these patterns special:
First up is the Willow Tank and Dress pattern, which serves as a timeless wardrobe essential for any warm season. Its tailored fit at the shoulders transitions smoothly into a loose silhouette below the bust, making it both versatile and comfortable. Whether you choose to sew it as a dress or a tank top, it’s an effortless style that’s sure to become a go-to in your sewing repertoire.
Next, the Farrow Dress pattern offers a chic and airy option perfect for those sun-soaked summer days. With its elegant A-line cut, diagonal seams that cleverly hide inseam pockets, and a classic jewel neckline, this dress strikes the perfect balance between simplicity and sophistication. For colder days, there’s also a long-sleeve variation available.
Jen has also introduced two exciting new t-shirt patterns. The Penny Raglan is an oversized tee designed for easygoing summer vibes. Its relaxed fit ensures that the fabric drapes beautifully, keeping you cool and comfortable while still looking stylish. On the other hand, the Lark Tee is a modern take on a classic tee. Featuring four sleeve variations and multiple neckline options, this pattern allows you to create up to 16 distinct looks from just one design.
As the seasons shift, Grainline Studio has two new offerings for cooler weather. The Driftless Cardigan exudes a laid-back yet put-together vibe with its roomy fit, dropped shoulders, and functional pockets—perfect for casual yet polished styling. Meanwhile, the Tamarack Jacket is a cozy quilted coat ideal for transitional weather. With two quilting patterns included, or the freedom to design your own, your Tamarack can be as unique as you are.
In addition to these new arrivals, Jen has refreshed all existing Grainline patterns. Updates include the addition of an A0 copy shop file to each pattern and improved layouts for easier reading. These enhanced PDFs are now available for download.
