On November 24th, the first general assembly of the China Underwear Committee was held in Yiwu. Over 300 representatives from across the country attended the event, with more than 1,000 member units participating. The meeting aimed to address key challenges facing the Chinese underwear industry, such as rising raw material costs, increasing labor expenses, and intense competition due to product homogenization. During the assembly, delegates reviewed and approved the draft regulations of the China Underwear Committee and elected the first leadership team for the organization.
Shenzhen Laitisei Clothing Co., Ltd. was elected as an "Executive Director Unit" of the China Underwear Committee, and Mr. Yan Shaofeng, the company's chairman, was appointed as the "Executive Vice President." This recognition highlights the company’s long-standing leadership and contributions to the development of the Chinese underwear sector.
The meeting emphasized the need for greater collaboration, resource integration, and industrial upgrading within the industry. In the next five years, the committee plans to launch several initiatives, including the "China Underwear Shop" selection campaign, the publication of the "China Underwear Yearbook," and the "China Underwear Design Competition." These efforts are expected to significantly enhance the competitiveness and brand value of the Chinese underwear industry.
Mr. Yan Shaofeng, after being appointed as Executive Vice President, expressed his commitment to taking on the important responsibilities ahead. He stated that over the next five years, the focus would be on driving innovation, promoting quality, and strengthening the industry's overall position in both domestic and international markets.
In addition to the main assembly, the China Underwear Committee also hosted the 2010 China Underwear Summit Forum on the same day. Industry experts, marketing professionals, and British scholars gathered to discuss strategies for breaking through the challenges of homogenized competition and improving the core competitiveness of the sector.
Laitisei has been a leading force in the Chinese underwear industry for over two decades, transitioning from OEM manufacturing to building its own strong brand identity. With this new appointment, the company is poised to play a more active role in shaping the future of the industry and contributing to its sustainable growth.
