Export cargo consignment booking process
1. After the exporter and the certificate are ready, the export enterprise shall fill out the power of attorney, and accompany other necessary documents such as COMMERCIALINVOICE and PACKINGLIST, and entrust the goods to be booked on behalf of the agent. Sometimes they also entrust their agents to declare customs and cargo storage and transportation.
2. After the freight forwarder accepts the booking authorization, the container cargo consignment note will be processed, and the shipping company will be booked together with other necessary documents such as COMMERCIALINVOICE and PACKINGLIST.
3. According to the specific circumstances, if the shipping company accepts the booking, the number corresponding to the B/L number will be compiled on the several documents of the consignment note, and the name of the vessel, the voyage, and the signature will be signed, indicating that the shipper’s order has been confirmed. At the same time, the ship-related documents such as the delivery receipt and the shipping order (SHIPPINGORDER: S/O) are returned to the shipper.
4. The S/O signed by the shipper holding the shipping company, filling out the export goods declaration form, COMMERCIALINVOICE, PACKINGLIST, etc., together with other relevant export documents, go through the customs formalities for export goods.
5. The Customs inspects the exported goods according to the relevant regulations. If the export is approved, the seal is placed on the S/O and the S/O is returned to the shipper.
6. The shipper’s S/O signed by the shipping company with the customs seal requires the captain to load the goods.
7. After loading, the captain's chief officer signs the M/R (Mate's receipt, the chief officer's receipt) and delivers it to the shipper.
8. The shipper holds the M/R and exchanges the original bill of lading with the shipping company.
9. The shipping company shall issue the original bill of lading by M/R and hand it over to the shipper for settlement.
