Recently, at a customer order conference held by Jiangsu Jiulu Wang Garments Co., Ltd., Chairman Qian Renlong officially announced the successful resolution of a four-year-long trademark dispute involving "Nine Deer King" Fashion Co., Ltd. The Beijing Higher People's Court recently delivered its final judgment in the trademark case, overturning the "Trademark Review and Adjudication Opinion No. 1725087" issued by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce regarding the "Trademark Dispute of Nine Deer King." This decision also revoked the administrative judgment from the First Intermediate People's Court of Beijing (2009) Case No. 302. After years of legal battles, the combination of "Nine Deer Wang" and "Nine Deer King" has finally been legally recognized.
It is understood that Beijing Nine Deer King Garments Co., Ltd. is a large-scale enterprise specializing in men’s clothing. "Nine Deer King" is its flagship brand. Since acquiring the "Nine Deer King" trademark, the company has focused on implementing a brand development strategy, establishing China's first-class casual men's design team, investing heavily in marketing and brand enhancement, and setting up nearly 800 sales outlets nationwide. Each year, the company contributes hundreds of millions of yuan to the textile and garment industry.
In June 2005, Inner Mongolia Deer King Cashmere Co., Ltd. applied for similar trademarks, arguing that the "Nine Deer King" trademark should be canceled. Despite the efforts of Nine Deer King, the Trademark Review and Adjudication Board and the Beijing Intermediate People's Court ruled in favor of the cancellation of the "Nine Deer Wang" trademark. However, a turning point came in April 2009 when the Supreme People's Court issued the "Opinion on Several Issues Concerning the Overall Situation of IP Trial Services under the Current Economic Situation." This policy shift ultimately led the Beijing High People's Court to rule in favor of protecting the legitimacy of the "Nine Deer Wang" trademark, revoking the previous decisions made by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce and the Beijing Intermediate People's Court.
